LAURA BISHOP KNOLL

Laura Bishop Knoll has been practicing law in Louisiana since.  She has participated on numerous successful personal injury and property litigation trial teams over her 10-plus years in the practice and knows what it takes to win in the courtroom.  Laura has authored numerous appellate briefs to various Courts of Appeal in Louisiana, and the Louisiana Supreme Court and regularly argues in Courts of Appeal and the District Court, often regarding emerging legal issues. Laura has extensive experience in expert witness admissibility challenges and the scientific aspects of complex litigation. 

Above all, Laura loves to help her clients, many of whom are navigating the most difficult times of their lives.  Laura is an AV-Rated Pre-eminent Lawyer through Martindale Hubbell, representing the support and respect of her legal peers and clients.  Many of Laura’s clients remain life-long friends.

Laura was born in New York City and graduated from The Brearley School in Manhattan in 1999. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California. At Pomona College, she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and captained the women’s cross-country and track and field teams, ultimately being selected to her college sports Hall of Fame in 2003 for her running.

Laura graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California in 2009. While at Loyola, she served as an Articles Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Avoyelles Parish Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association for Justice. Laura is admitted to practice before the Louisiana District and Appellate Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. She has also been admitted pro hac vice to the Court of Appeal for the District of Columbia.

Laura has three children, Lyla, Sunni Claire and Luke, who attend Avoyelles Public Charter School.  She is heavily involved in her children’s extra-curricular activities, spending most of her free time volunteering at or attending various school and community sporting, theater and church events.
